Sometimes her mind gets turned around and upside down
And she fears that You no longer love her above all else,
That she’s lost her place, that another one is now the ace
In Your hand … Yet in all You continue to care and quietly
Bear the pain of her insane moments, tenderly caressing
Her and addressing her with deepest compassion, kissing
Her ashen face, all interlaced with Your abiding passion
Residing in the deepest recesses of Your Spirit, and then
She can hear it again when You say, ‘I love you with an
Undying love,’ and know You mean it…
And then, once again, all her fears disappear.
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
